About Jaime Carvallo

Gladstone Group’s Asset & Wealth Management and Brokerage department is where Jaime Carvallo is employed. He is a Senior Advisor for Mergers and Acquisitions at the company where he works. Jaime was formerly the Managing Director of Mergers & Acquisitions at Incap Group, where he played a critical role in directing a wealth and asset management team. Besides mergers and acquisitions, Jaime is an expert at strategic financial advice. But there is much more to Jaime than a successful career spanning decades.

New York-based professional Jaime Carvallo has a wide range of interests and passions outside his successful work life.

In addition to valuing fitness and working out for his physical and emotional well-being, Jaime is also an art enthusiast.

The styles that appeal to Jaime the most are Art Deco and Mid-Century Modern. His love of art began at an early age. Jaime’s grandparents relocated from Italy to Peru between the first and second World Wars and brought antique art and furniture pieces with them. As a result, Jaime’s grandparents’ mansion in Peru was full of beautiful pieces and sparked his interest as a child. In addition to admiring all the beauty, Jaime became fascinated by the variety of historical artifacts his grandparents kept in their house and wanted to know more about the origins of their design.

As a result of his exposure to Art Deco in the States, Jaime’s aesthetic preferences gravitate away from classic and closer toward contemporary. One of the perks of living so near Manhattan is that Jaime has access to the world’s most outstanding examples of Art Deco. European and American architects worked together to design the metropolis’ cityscape, and the finished constructions are indeed works of art. Jaime loves the individuality of each building and the fine artistic details, such as the blending of exotic woods and parchment with ivory and mother-of-pearl to give items a modern feel.

Jaime has amassed a collection of beloved artists, both alive and deceased, whose work has influenced his own and served as a constant source of inspiration. Some examples include Jacques Adnet, Andre Arbus, Dominique, Jean Dunand, Jules Leleu, Maison Leleu, Maxime Old, Jan Pascaud, Jacques Quinet, and Sue et Mare. Jaime is also a fan of their work because each piece’s design is carefully crafted, but it is also tailored to meet the practical needs of its owner. Purveyors of Art Deco know that true enthusiasts don’t need anything grandiose to impress others.
